Bauchi state police command has mobilised its men to man Federal Government Girls College Bauchi along Gombe road as a proactive measure against insurgents.
DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar, in a statement in Bauchi, said the security men will be stationed for good 24 hours in the school areas.
Also on the list are the operatives from the state Intelligence Bureau that will be part of the surveillance against any security breach.
In the same vain, the Bauchi state police command has also ordered the involvement of Patrol teams to support those mobilised already in FGGC to arrest any security lapses in the area.
Abubakar maintained that the decision was taken at a meeting held between the police command and the FGGC management.
It could be recalled that in 2014 and 2018, insurgents abducted some schoolgirls from Chibok in Borno state and recently from Dapchi in Yobe state.
