English club, Manchester City on Wednesday night eased into the semi-finals of the Women’s UEFA Champions League after beating Swedish side, Linkoping 5-3 to go through 7-3 on aggregate.
It is the second successive season that City have made the Champions League last four.
City led 4-0 at half time thanks to an early goal from Jane Ross, two from Georgia Stanway and Jen Beattie header.
Marija Banusic scored two goals early in the second half, but Izzy Christiansen’s goal eased any City nerves before Tove Almqvist’s late third for Linkoping.
The English club will now face Lyon, who beat City at the same stage last year after they won 1-0 in Barcelona to go through on 3-1 aggregate.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will face German club, Wolfsburg in the other semi-finals match next month, keeping alive the possibility of an all-English final.
