Super Eagles and Leicester City forward, Ahmed Musa, has picked Nigeria as the favourites to progress in Group D of the 2018 World Cup ahead of Argentina.
Recall that Musa had stated that Gernot Rohr’s men must not be a walkover for Argentina at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Rohr’s men are in Group D of the tournament alongside, Croatia, Iceland and Argentina.
Musa, however, noted that the three times African champions have to win their games against Croatia and Iceland before facing the Albiceleste.
Answering questions from reporters whom he considers the favourite of Group D, Musa said, tass.ru: ”I think, Nigeria.”
Musa added: ”We need a maximum, I think we need six points. The plan is to win the first two games.”
Nigeria will face Croatia on Saturday in their 2018 World Cup opener at the Kaliningrad Stadium.
