World Cup 2018: Presidency reacts to France winning tournament



President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Ahmad Bashir has reacted to France’s victory at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

France emerged winner of the 21st FIFA World Cup in Russia after defeating Croatia 4-2 in a keenly contested match.

Reacting to the match, Bashir congratulated the French side for their victory.

In a tweet, Bashir wrote: “The #WorldCup is over, all focus now on #Qatar2022, Super Eagles of #NGA please prepare well. The other four African countries please. #WorldCup is almost 100 years old, let’s bring it home in 2022.

“20 years after, France win FIFA World Cup for the second time. Congratulations Mbappe and his team. Well done Modrić and his team. #FRA #CRO #WorldCupFinal.”
